HolmPei Cafe Bistro: Discover Toronto's Trendy Brunch Spot

Located near my office, I stumbled upon this charming brunch spot that's evidently a hit among young Asians, possibly thanks to its Instagram-worthy ambiance. The menu is a delightful mix of options, and I couldn't resist trying the steak brunch menu and the shrimp pasta. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender with savory sides that complemented it well. The shrimp pasta, on the other hand, impressed with its creamy texture and just the right amount of spice, adding a flavorful kick to each bite. With such a promising start, I'm eager to return and explore more dishes from their enticing menu.

Absolutely the best place in toronto I’ve found to go to brunch. The variety of the menu is incredible, as well as it’s creativity, both with food and drinks, it’s one of those places where you want to try everything. Great portions, all cooked to perfection, the gofre was not outstanding but a good and affordable choice. Matchas were amazing!!!! Super unique and tasty. Service was very very friendly. Will absolutely be back!

Tried Holmpei Bistro in DR for brunch — overall, I’d say it was decent but not particularly memorable. I had the pasta (as a pasta lover, my standards are pretty high), and it was just okay. My husband had the steak, and same thing — nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. Their food leans toward a lighter, fusion style — not greasy, not too heavy, which works well for a casual lunch. I think they were going for something more modern and refined in terms of flavor, but the dishes felt a little underwhelming. We also tried a matcha yuzu drink - and again, very middle-of-the-road. Nothing we disliked, but also nothing we’d rush back for. That said, for a quick lunch / brunch, it’s a perfectly fine option. The pricing was fair, and the setting was relaxed. Just don’t expect to be blown away.

I think that's totally the best brunch in Toronto Absolutely amazing brunch experience! The service here is exceptionally warm and attentive — every staff member made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Each dish was crafted with care and had its own unique twist, far beyond your typical brunch fare. The signature pancake is an absolute standout — fluffy, flavourful, and unlike anything I’ve tried elsewhere. You can truly taste the thought and creativity behind every bite. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable brunch!

There are no large tables as it’s a small cozy cafe with simple neat ambience and quite good food for the price! The shareables were amazing and the mains were decent. My lobster could’ve been cooked better but the pasta sauce is delicious and pretty good quantity for the price, chicken wings tasted very nice. Definitely worth visiting again to try other items on the menu!

Had a great brunch at HolmPei Cafe Bistro! Food was delicious with generous portions. We ordered the salmon pancake and prosciutto pancake — both were excellent. The strawberry matcha and latte were also really tasty. The only downside was that the seating was a bit tight and close to other tables. Overall, we had an awesome experience and would definitely come back!

A must visit cafe in Toronto. So many delicious menu items to choose from, definitely coming back here to try their brunch menu. Here’s what we ordered (and loved): Drinks: Matchamisu & Pistachio Lattes Shareable: Sweet Potato Fries Mains: Gochujang Honey Udon & Chili Lime Lemongrass Pasta - both these mains were packed with flavour & scrumptious. Overall, we had a delightful lunch experience - kudos to the staff at HolmPei Cafe Bistro.

Today, I visited with my friend’s family, and I must say that this restaurant has the best ingredient quality and food I’ve experienced in my 15 years in Canada. The servers were all very friendly and provided excellent service. The attention to detail in both the presentation and flavors was impressive. It was a truly enjoyable dining experience, and I would highly recommend this place to others! I will definitely visit again.
